I'm a lazy journaler
I am very lazy about updating this thing. I just... have no real drive to. I don't know what it is. I guess I just feel that my life is so stupid and boring that no one would want to hear about it. Anyway. Enough about that. Stupid memes are fun. On a side note, why is Chuck Norris appearing so many places lately? Current Mood: okay | | Thursday, May 11th, 2006 | | 7:08 pm |
Well. My sister is having a baby soon. And that's part of why I'm going back to visit my family in MN. The other part would be having paid vacation and not having seen them in two and a half years. Anyway. My wife and I leave on the 19th of June and come back on the 27th. I've got a little planned, but not a whole lot. And that's part of the point. ^.^ Current Mood: happy | | Saturday, April 22nd, 2006 | | 9:18 am |
Kittens
We have several kittens in our apartment right now. They're being fostered after their (very) pregnant mother was thrown out by another resident. Anyway, being kittens, they like to play. And they like to play with shoelaces. This manifests itself in a very odd way: they keep untying my left shoe. Not my right one. Just my left one. Three times now in two days. Interesting day yesterday
It just so happened that the first real call I answered yesterday involved a wounded bird. A wounded bird that turned out to be a red-tailed hawk. It was kinda funky to actually see something like that up close and personal and pick it up with my own hands. I seriously wanted to get pictures, but my wife was out of the house and I couldn't find the digital camera. He wound up going to a bird rehabber, unfortunately it was a break in his wing completely through. She wasn't sure if she could really help. Ah, well. I did what I could... Taxes, bleh
Doing taxes today... The only reason I hate doing them is that it takes so long with our dial-up connection. Oh well. The extra time means a much faster turnaround on the return. | | Sunday, March 26th, 2006 | | 12:33 pm |
Because I felt like it. Who needs a defense when you use an Anti-Matter Beam for a weapon? The first directive is as follows: Marzipan, you will have a new uniform designed for legal and moral reasons. Current Mood: goofy | | 11:25 am |

Pointless crap
I was watching Tenchi in Tokyo last night. Not good, but I kinda got it for free with the OAV and Universe. Anyway. I was partway through episode 19 (which finally featured Ryoko kicking ass and being the Space Pirate that she's supposed to be), when BAM! "Unable to read disc". Dammit. So I took it out, cleaned it off(not that I thought it would help), no good. So I tried the next scene. "Unable to read disc". So I tried the next episode. "Unable to read disc". Tried a couple more, for no reason in particular. Of course they didn't work, either. I'm not terribly enamored with the series. Too many anime cliches and exaggerations, for two. But it had its moments. And I don't like leaving it hanging, having only seen 2/3 of the series. I'm not the type to put down a bad book or walk out of a bad movie. Well, I've put down one book I didn't like about 1/3 into it, but I didn't even walk out on the god awful Scary Movie(first 30 minutes were good, though), nor did I turn off the unquestionably horrendous Avengers. Bleh
Bored, depressed and lonely. Which is a bit the story of my life lately. Alright, alot the story of my life. I need friends to talk to... Current Mood: depressed | | Friday, March 3rd, 2006 | | 7:37 pm |
All good things...
... must come to an end. But first, they must begin. I'm not really sure what to say, because a lot of the standard 'hello'-type stuff will be in my bio. Which isn't much, but I'm pretending that it is. So far 8 people added me to their watch lists. I'm not sure if that's flattering or frightening. I mean, I don't really know... well... any of you. I know OF you, and about you to various degrees, but I don't KNOW any of you. Which is a really weird feeling. 8 people are already more than my previous journal had watching it. I think I had a whole 3 back then. For now, I'm featureless. No fun pictures or anything. C'est la vie. It's boring, but it's here. Since I have no idea what to say, I'm just going to toss this open to a Q & A, anything that anyone wants to ask. It'll give me ideas for what to add to my bio. Current Mood: New and improved |
